After the deaths of his first and second wife, cosmetic mogul Cheuk Gwan Lam tries to turn over a new leaf. As fate would have it, he encounters a resourceful young man known as Ringo Poon, through whom he sees a younger version of himself. Cheuk Gwan Lam develops a familial attachment towards Ringo. The young man also wins the favor of Cheuk’s secretary Rachel Chan, who believes that Ringo would lead the company, Endless Beauty, to success. Rachel, still mourning over the disappearance of her husband Vincent many years ago, drowns herself with work. Endless Beauty, as well as Cheuk Gwan Lam himself, becomes her sole purpose in life. Ringo exploits the trust Rachel has in him, also winning Cheuk Gwan Lam’s approval. Little do they know that Ringo is actually secretly conspiring with a team of talented people on the sly to steal trade secrets from large corporations for money. Ringo has been planning this for years, seeking the best opportunity to take destructive revenge on Endless Beauty.
The managers are having a meeting with Cheuk Gwan Lam when Rachel receives a phone call. She whispers in his ear and he ends the meeting early and tells Mani to follow him. The other managers are wondering what happened because they rarely see Cheuk Gwan Lam looking this worried.
Luk Yat Fan and Howard came to see them at Cheuk Gwan Lam’s company. Luk Yat Fan and Cheuk Gwan Lam talk a little business and Mani tries to share her input but is shut down by Luk Yat Fan. He doesn’t think woman have a say in their business dealings. Cheuk Gwan Lam does his best to try to placate the other man.
Ringo is on the roof listening in on the conversation in the office. He doesn’t think Cheuk Gwan Lam is all that seeing him practically bowing down to the other man.
Cheuk Gwan Lam asks for some time to think it over but Luk Yat Fan takes it as him agreeing already and leaves.
On his way out, Luk Yat Fan sees the salt crystal lamp and asks where Cheuk Gwan Lam got it. Since he likes it, Cheuk Gwan Lam offers to give it to him. Luk Yat Fan thanks him.
After they see the father-son duo out, Cheuk Gwan Lam asks Rachel to cancel all his appointments for the next few days. He also tells her to arrange for someone to send the lamp to Luk Yat Fan. Rachel is highly disappointed in her boss. Whatever Luk Yat Fan wants, he just easily gives it to the other man on a golden platter.
Mani goes up to the roof and runs into Ringo. He can tell she’s upset and asks her what’s wrong but she just wants to be alone.
One of Ringo’s team members delivery his lunch to him and at that moment, Mani’s stomach grumbles. He gives her his lunch. She refuses at first but he knows she’s hungry and makes her take it. Then he leaves.
Rachel is in Cheuk Gwan Lam’s office getting the lamp ready to be picked up. Turtle arrives with a face mask to pick it up. She doesn’t recognize him and asks for his name. Before he gives his name, Rachel receives a call from Ringo. Ringo is watching the proceedings from his iPad in the staircase. He asks if Rachel sent him a certain file. She goes out to check her computer, leaving Turtle free to pack up the light. He quickly finishes and leaves while Ringo keeps Rachel distracted.
Cheuk Gwan Lam is on a yacht with a few other men who are vested in his company. He asks them for help and gives each of them highly valuable gifts according to their tastes and interests. They’re all happy and on his side.
Mani arrives home and finds out her father is really busy and won’t be coming home. She receives a phone call from Howard reminding her of her appointment for the body check up tomorrow. She asks him if he’ll be there and he says he will. After they hang up, Mani wonders if everyone who’s getting married is this bothered. She doesn’t feel any sense of happiness at all.
Ringo is wondering why the members of Team A are so relaxed today. He finds out that its because both Mani and Cheuk Gwan Lam took the day off. Ringo then goes to Rachel and tries to get her to book an appointment with Cheuk Gwan Lam to discuss some new ideas. She tells him she can’t help hi because the boss wants his schedule cleared for the next two days.
At the clinic, Mani finds out that Howard only made an appointment for her to do the body check up. She thinks this is a mistake and calls him. He confirms that he only intended for her to do the body check up since his father only wants her report. Then he tells her he’s busy and hangs up. Mani cancels the appointment and leaves.
Howard is at the hotel check in desk waiting to get his key. Turtle approaches the desk as a tacky nouveau rich dude and asks for a room. He hears what room Howard gets and goes on his way.
Amber bumps into Howard in the lobby and asks him to get a drink to catch up but he tells her he’s busy and leaves first. Amber pretends to get lightheaded and he helps her to a seat.
Turtle enters the hotel room Howard booked and installs a hidden camera in the AC vent.
Amber continues to distract Howard by asking him to help her look for her candy and then get her some water. Howard gets really anxious and tells Amber he needs to leave first. Amber receives the greet light from Turtle and releases Howard.
Howard meets up with his lover in the hotel room and is trying to break things off with her. He tells her he’s getting married but she doesn’t care since she’s already married. Room service knocks on the door with a special wine for their guests in celebration of their anniversary. Howard doesn’t want it but his lover says she does. He makes sure she’s out of sight before he opens the door an accept the cart. When they’re alone again, she tempts him on the bed since it will be their last time anyways. He gives in.
Yan Yan is grossed out by what she has to watch and turns away.
Mani runs into Cyrus again at a cooking class. The two partner up and he tells her throw the dough to vent out all her anger. She does so with a lot of anger behind it
After class they go sit outside by the ferris wheel eating their noodles. Maybe it was because of all the throwing but it’s a bit hard to eat. Cyrus cracks a joke about it and Mani finally smiles again. He tells he can lend an ear to her if she wants to vent. She just shares her insecurities for her future. Cyrus can only tell her to open her eyes to see the bigger picture. Then he asks her for phone and installs an app where you can record something that changes your voice to a high-pitched chipmunk voice. Mani has a lot of fun with it.
Cyrus walks Mani to her car and declines her offer to drive him home. They bid each other farewell and he watches her drive away. Then he receives a call from Amber, asking him to go pick her up again. He tells her he’s not feeling well. She threatens to release the video she has of him if he doesn’t but Cyrus has had enough. He tells her to stop avoiding her problems by drinking and just grow up. Then he hangs out and stalks away.
Amber is actually hiding nearby behind a pillar and gets upset with his words.
Ringo and Laura are teaching Mr. Hong how to ride a bike. The trio are having a lot of fun. When they take a break, Rachel calls Laura about their whereabouts. Laura sucks at lying so Mr. Hong takes over and smoothly lies to his mother. After the phone call, he tells Laura that his mom wants to take him grocery shopping later.
At the supermarket, Rachel gets all the precooked, canned foods. Ringo runs into them and she pretends not to see him. Mr. Hong scolds his mother for being rude. She finally acknowledges Ringo and then tries to escape quickly but Ringo blocks her path. He looks into her basket and notes everything she buys is easy to cook. He tells her it’s not healthy for a growing boy to eat.
Rachel gets irritated and puts the frozen fish back. She tells Mr. Hong that they’ll get a live fish instead.
Dinner that night they have eggs and tomatoes and steamed egg. Mr. Hong finds an egg shell in his egg and the fish is super fishy and hard to eat. Rachel gets mad at herself for not being able to cook. Mr. Hong comforts her, telling her that nothing else matters as long as they can have eat dinner together.
Rachel puts Mr. Hong to bed and goes back to her room. She talks to her husband in the family picture – telling him their son is just like him. He’ll still eat the food she makes and tells her it’s delicious despite them both knowing it’s not. Then she opens up her text messages to her husband. She’s been texting him periodically with updates on their life.
Cheuk Gwan Lam returns from his trip and Rachel quickly updates him. He didn’t miss much. Luk Yat Fan calls him to meet for lunch.
At the cafe, Luk Yat Fan wants to give him more business by ordering more stock. Cheuk Gwan Lam doesn’t understand why this needs to be done in person between them. Luk Yat Fan’s point is that since they’re going to be in-laws soon, he wants Cheuk Gwan Lam to give him a discount on all future orders. Cheuk Gwan Lam needs to think about this but Luk Yat Fan is being pushy and tells him there’s nothing to think about. Rachel at that point excuses herself. Luk Yat Fan notes her sour expression and tells him to get a new secretary.
Now that Cheuk Gwan Lam has reappeared, Ringo and his team are wondering what he’s been up to the past few days. They feel sorry for Mani, being used by her father as a chess piece. Cyrus tells them that he installed a tracking program on Mani’s phone last time so they’ll be able to know her movements. All of them are hoping Mani’s marriage doesn’t go through because that will mean half of their plan will be completed.
Howard goes to meet up with his lover at the hotel. Once he enters, Turtle gives Yan Yan the green light. Yan Yan sends a message to Mani, disguised as Howard, asking her to meet him at the hotel. When she arrives, Turtle gives her the card key and tells her Howard asked her to wait for him first.
Mani enters the room and sees Howard half-naked and a pair of woman’s legs on the bed. She walks out of there. Howard calls her and begs her to meet him in person for a chance to explain.
They meet in a private room at a restaurant. Howard promises not to do it again. If he doesn’t get married then he won’t get the Chairman position; his father will kill him. All he asks for is three years and one baby. Afterwards they can get divorced. If she doesn’t want to be pregnant they can get a surrogate too. She can have another man if she wants, he doesn’t mind. Mani is starting to realize that this marriage is just a business transaction to him. She thanks him and tries to leave.
Howard threatens her that if they break up, his father won’t help her father. She knows her father and he won’t get mad at her for her decision.
At home, Mani is upset. She tells her father he was right. Howard was cheating on her and he doesn’t love her. Cheuk Gwan Lam tries to comfort his daughter.
Luk Yat Fan is having a press conference to introduce his son as the next Chairman. Cheuk Gwan Lam interrupts and slaps Howard across the face for what he did to his daughter. Then on the big screen, a video of Howard’s tryst is aired in front of all the reporters. The woman he was sleeping with is actually the wife of one of the board members. He gets pissed and goes after Howard but is held back.
Luk Yat Fan is livid and tells Cheuk Gwan Lam he’ll regret this. But the board members are backing Cheuk Gwan Lam. They will still continue to do business with him and they will also reject Howard’s appointment to be the chairman of the company.
Luk Yat Fan has a heart attack and faints. Cheuk Gwan Lam walks away from the chaos.
