After the deaths of his first and second wife, cosmetic mogul Cheuk Gwan Lam tries to turn over a new leaf. As fate would have it, he encounters a resourceful young man known as Ringo Poon, through whom he sees a younger version of himself. Cheuk Gwan Lam develops a familial attachment towards Ringo. The young man also wins the favor of Cheuk’s secretary Rachel Chan, who believes that Ringo would lead the company, Endless Beauty, to success. Rachel, still mourning over the disappearance of her husband Vincent many years ago, drowns herself with work. Endless Beauty, as well as Cheuk Gwan Lam himself, becomes her sole purpose in life. Ringo exploits the trust Rachel has in him, also winning Cheuk Gwan Lam’s approval. Little do they know that Ringo is actually secretly conspiring with a team of talented people on the sly to steal trade secrets from large corporations for money. Ringo has been planning this for years, seeking the best opportunity to take destructive revenge on Endless Beauty.
The team can’t believe the actions of Cheuk Gwan Lam. Initially they thought that stopping the marriage between Howard and Mani would hinder Endless Beauty from going public. Who knew Cheuk Gwan Lam would beat them to it. He’s gotten the support of the other board members already so he doesn’t need Luk Yat Fan’s help. And by slapping Howard for cheating on his daughter, it has improved his image as a caring father.
Ringo is sure Cheuk Gwan Lam has some bigger plans under his thumb right now. They need to figure it out and find a way to derail it.
Cheuk Gwan Lam and Mani go visit her mom’s grave. Mani has realized she was in the wrong this time but she will learn from this. Cheuk Gwan Lam suggests she takes a few days off to rest but Mani refuses. She’s fine to work.
Ringo arrives at work to be accosted by members of Team A. They’re trying to butter him up because they think Mani will resign from her position after her heartbreak. Rachel chides them and warns them not to mention Howard when Mani gets to work. Unfortunately, Mani appears behind her and Ringo tries to signal this fact to Rachel but it’s lost on her.
Mani thanks Rachel for her concern. She then tells everyone that it will not influence her work ethics and for them to get back to writing proposals.
After work, Rachel and Mani goes shopping together. Mani knows what’s up and tells Rachel that she’s fine. Rachel is relieved. Cheuk Gwan Lam is really worried about Mani and told her to look after her. The two continue their shopping. Mani goes to try on a dress. Rachel sees a shirt she likes and takes a picture of it.
Laura, Ringo, and Mr. Hong are at a nearby park watching Mr. Hong ride his bike. Rachel comes home early and yells at Laura for letting her son do something so dangerous. She pulls Mr. Hong away.
At home she gives Laura and Mr. Hong the silent treatment. Mr. Hong apologizes but she’s still mad. He sees a picture of his parents riding bicycles together and grabs it to show his mom. He tells her he wanted to learn how to ride a bike just like his parents. Rachel finally forgives him. She forgives Laura too after her friend agrees to make the shirt she took a picture of. Ringo on the other hand, is still in hot waters.
Cyrus took pictures of the arrival of David Tong, a cell restoration researcher. They’re all watching a video of a rat being injected with some special medicine that restore it back to health. Ringo figures the 797M project must be in collaboration with David’s research. Cheuk Gwan Lam is really secretive with this project. He gave it to only Mani to handle it so Ringo can’t get any info on the project. Cyrus reminds Ringo of the app he installed on Mani’s phone. It should be helpful.
David is in a meeting with Cheuk Gwan Lam. He’s showing them the results of his research on European women. Cheuk Gwan Lam wants to conduct a test to see if the formula is as effective on Asian skin. If the results are good, they could use it to promote the product when they release it to consumers. He tells Mani to be in charge of the testing.
Ringo is utilizing the app on Mani’s phone to listen in on the meeting.
After the meeting, David is leaving when Ringo arrives back to the office. He sees David give Rachel a sample of their latest product.
Cyrus is keeping an eye out on David after he leaves his room. They initiate plan A. Turtle goes into David’s room but isn’t have to find anything. Yan Yan can’t hack into any of David’s devices. The man is very careful. So they go to plan B. With huge headphones on, Cyrus bumps into David and knocks both of their tablets to the ground. He grabs David’s, plugs in a USB drive and walks away quickly. David soon realizes they switched devices and goes after Cyrus.
Cyrus finishes download everything just as David catches up. They switch back devices and go their separate ways.
At the warehouse, Yan Yan works on decrypting the files for them to see. When it’s finished they realized why David was so careful with his devices. It’s because he has pictures of himself cross-dressing as a woman.
Since there’s nothing else for her to do, Yan Yan goes to the couch and sleep. She’s sick as a dog. Ringo wonders where the 797M information is and how David could be so careful about it.
Ringo tries to have lunch with Rachel but she’s still mad at him for going behind her back and teaching her son how to ride a bike. He apologizes for it but she just ignores him. When Rachel opens her lunch box, he laughs at the pitiful lunch. She doesn’t know why he’s so smug when he has the exact same lunch. He says the difference between his and hers is that his is tasty. To prove it, they swap lunch. Rachel is impressed by his cooking while Ringo has to spit out what he ate.
Ringo decides to teach her a few things. The two go to the market and he teaches her how to pick out fresh vegetables. Then they go back to his house and he teaches her a few new dishes.
That night, Rachel cooks them for her son. He’s really happy and finds it delicious. Rachel takes a picture of Mr. Hong eating and sends it to Ringo thanking him.
Turtle has been following David for the past couple of days but there’s been no discovery. He walks past a Chinese herbal tea place and hears a grandpa raving about how their herbal tea works miracles. Since Yan Yan is still sick, he buys a bottle of the herbal tea and the pills the sales associate was advertising.
He returns to the warehouse where Yan Yan is sleeping on the couch. He gives her the tea and medicine and tells her to take both at once before he leaves. When Yan Yan gets up, she finds a talisman on the floor.
She has a flashback to a time when Turtle bought food to her. He dropped a talisman on the floor and she asked about it. He tells her it’s very important and then leaves. She follows him to a hospital room. Outside, she watches as he hangs the talisman above the patient lying in the bed.
Remembering how important the talisman is to Turtle, Yan Yan gets up and goes to the hospital. The man Turtle is visiting is his younger brother. Not wanting to disturb him, Yan Yan hangs the talisman on the door handle and runs away. Turtle hears her and goes to check it out and sees the back of her running. He takes the talisman and switches out the older one. Then he sits back and has a flashback.
Turtle is driving a large truck delivering goods. He receives a phone call from his younger brother who wants to talk. But since he’s busy, he tells him they’ll talk later that night and hangs up first.
When he returns, he discovers his brother tried to commit suicide by jumping off the roof. Turtle loses it.
Present day Turtle blames himself for what happened to his brother.
Cyrus pretends to be a delivery man and goes to deliver a package to Endless Beauty’s labs. His glasses is recording everything he sees so that he could show Ringo when he returns. He reports that the security is very tight at the labs and even if they could sneak someone in, there’s no way they could sneak anything out.
Ringo remembers David giving Rachel a sample and thinks there’s a way to get the formula from someone else.
Rachel receives a phone call from Laura telling her something came up and she can’t pick up Mr. Hong. Cheuk Gwan Lam finds out and they go pick up her son first.
Mr. Hong isn’t very receptive towards Cheuk Gwan Lam. Rachel thinks he’s just not used to seeing him. Before they can go home, Mr. Hong tells his mom that he has to take a picture of 20 people’s smiles for homework. They go to an area with a lot of people and ask to take pictures of people but they refuse.
Cheuk Gwan Lam comes up with a story that it’s Mr. Hong’s last wish to be a photographer so if they could help him out, that would be great. The people are more willing to let Mr. Hong take their pictures now.
After a long while, he only needs two more people left. Cheuk Gwan Lam suggests Mr. Hong take a picture of the two of them (him and Rachel). Then he takes them home.
Mr. Hong complains about being hungry which reminds Rachel that she didn’t buy anything for dinner. Just then Ringo returns and Mr. Hong runs to him. He asks if he and his mom could join him for dinner and Ringo agrees. The three of them bid Cheuk Gwan Lam goodbye and head up.
Ringo is preparing dinner in Rachel’s kitchen. She enters and asks if there’s anything she could help with. He asks her for an ingredient she doesn’t have so she offers to go buy it. After she leaves, Ringo goes to check on Mr. Hong. Mr. Hong takes a picture of him and then shows him all the photos he took today for his homework.
When Ringo gets to the picture of Rachel, he asks why the photo is so weird. Mr. Hong explains he doesn’t like Cheuk Gwan Lam so he only took a picture of his mom. Cheuk Gwan Lam’s smile looks really fake – not like Ringo’s smile, who smiles like Mr. Hong’s father.
Ringo asks about Mr. Hong’s father and gets slightly upset over the subject. Ringo does his best to comfort the kid, telling him his father will come back and find him. Mr. Hong seems better and goes to his room to change.
Ringo takes this chance to go into Rachel’s room. He finds the sample David gave her and takes his own sample from it.
When he gets a report back on the sample he took, he finds out its some steroid ointment for eczema and finds it a bit strange.
At lunchtime, his team members ask him to join them for lunch. When he finds out Rachel isn’t able to join them, he makes up an excuse to back up. Then he goes to her desk and finds out she’s having lunch with David.
On their way to Cheuk Gwan Lam’s lunch appointment, Ah Sang receives the report from the USA on Ringo. He hands it to Cheuk Gwan Lam and he realizes Ringo and his son are really two different people.
Cheuk Gwan Lam looks out the window and spots Rachel and David at a cafe. And in the distance, he sees Ringo enter and watches the two from the distance.
