After the deaths of his first and second wife, cosmetic mogul Cheuk Gwan Lam tries to turn over a new leaf. As fate would have it, he encounters a resourceful young man known as Ringo Poon, through whom he sees a younger version of himself. Cheuk Gwan Lam develops a familial attachment towards Ringo. The young man also wins the favor of Cheuk’s secretary Rachel Chan, who believes that Ringo would lead the company, Endless Beauty, to success. Rachel, still mourning over the disappearance of her husband Vincent many years ago, drowns herself with work. Endless Beauty, as well as Cheuk Gwan Lam himself, becomes her sole purpose in life. Ringo exploits the trust Rachel has in him, also winning Cheuk Gwan Lam’s approval. Little do they know that Ringo is actually secretly conspiring with a team of talented people on the sly to steal trade secrets from large corporations for money. Ringo has been planning this for years, seeking the best opportunity to take destructive revenge on Endless Beauty.
Ringo arrives at work and sees a few guys who look like exterminators leaving. He asks the security guard about it and finds out they were here for Endless Beauty. Ringo takes a picture of the van.
Cheuk Gwan Lam calls Ringo and brings him aboard the 797M project.
After the meeting, Mani is on the rooftop sulking. She thinks her father thinks she isn’t doing a good job, that’s why Ringo was brought onto the team. Cheuk Gwan Lam finds her and explains that he did this not because he doubts her abilities but he wants her to work on her management skills.
Rachel hands Cheuk Gwan Lam the report from the security team’s investigation. They did find anything amiss. She then gives him some information on the Cover Girl show. This is a show that Chin Wing Tong’s company has always been the sponsor of and his relationship with the executives are really good. Cheuk Gwan Lam asks Rachel to get more information on the show and it’s executives for him.
Yan Yan is still sick as a dog and Turtle scolds her unwillingness to go see a doctor. Ringo comes and asks her if she checked the images he sent. She gestures for Turtle to talk. He tells him that she checked and they’re not an extermination company – they do security. They realize Cheuk Gwan Lam has finally realized his company has a mole. They’ll have to be a bit more careful here on out.
Cheuk Gwan Lam goes to see the guy in charge of the Cover Girl show and asks about his proposal. The guy is reluctant to change sponsors considering they’ve had a partnership with the other company for so long already. Since he can’t get through to this guy, Cheuk Gwan Lam hands over some documents and tells him his supervisor has been receiving a large sum of money from Chin Wing Tong every year after the show – this is why their relationship is so good. The guy gets pissed off at this revelation.
Turtle goes to check up on Yan Yan at the warehouse. He goes to turn off the TV when he sees the news reporting about the herbal tea shop he purchased from a while back ago. Some people drank their tea and had to go to the hospital.
Turtle wakes Yan Yan up and asks if she drank the tea. She hasn’t yet and he decides to go take the tea to be tested. Yan Yan mutters something about the Kwok family’s herbal tea being horrible but Turtle defends the Kwok family’s name. He says someone borrowed their name for their business.
When he was younger, his parents passed away so his brother and him were raised by his grandmother. Their grandmother ran a small herbal tea shop. Her herbal tea works miracles. It’s really good for when you catch a cold. Unfortunately, his grandmother passed away when he was 25. He and his friend Gwong Jai went to her house to clean things up after the funeral.
Later he heard that his old friend Gwong Jai opened up his own herbal tea shop and turned it into a chain. He’s pretty sure Gwong Jai stole his grandmother’s recipe but he just let it go.
Yan Yan gets heated up after hearing this story and goes with him to confront Gwong Jai to get the recipe back.
They get near the herbal tea shop and see Gwong Jai walk out. Turtle confronts him but Gwong Jai pretends he doesn’t know him. Turtle continues with his accusations and Yan Yan threatens to call the cops. But Gwong Jai demands they show proof that he stole it. This shuts the other two up. He warns them to stop bothering him otherwise he’ll sue them for defamation.
As Gwong Jai is walking away, he remembers that time when he was at Turtle’s grandmother’s house. He was helping his friend look through her stuff for anything worth keeping. He finds some money and the herbal tea recipe and pockets them. When Turtle asks if he found anything he tells him no.
Gwong Jai returns to his empty shops. His staff tells him that he had switched all the medicine pills before the police came to take the samples to be tested so nothing should happen. Gwong Jai praises him and then goes to answer a phone call. It’s loan sharks calling him to pay back the borrowed money.
Yan Yan is looking up news on the herbal tea shop and she comes across articles about the government finding nothing wrong in their tests. Turtle can’t believe it. According to his test reports, there’s nothing wrong with the tea but there’s something wrong with the pills. Yan Yan wants to send this as evidence to the government but there’s no use. She gets frustrated and refuses to let the bad guy get away with this.
Turtle takes the team (minus Ringo) out to eat and orders a lot of food. Cyrus and Amber is wondering what’s up since this is out of character for him. He tells them about the recent scandal with an herbal tea shop. The recipe is actually his grandmother’s and he hopes they can help him get the patent on the recipe back. Amber is in.
Just then Ringo enters and ask why he wasn’t invited. Turtle never said this meal was a secret so Cyrus told Ringo. Turtle didn’t want to bother Ringo since this is such a small thing so he didn’t tell him. Nonetheless, Ringo wants in too. Turtle delves into the details of their target.
Gwong Jai is known to be addicted to gambling. He’s up to his neck in debts. He’s chilling at a bar after a losing streak when two guys enter and talk about how much money they’ve won from a private casino. Gwong Jai’s eyes light up when he hears about it and wants to go play there too.
He enters and takes Yan Yan’s seat after she’s won her share to play with Ringo. Game after game, he continues to win and starts getting cocky. During their last game, Amber goes to stand behind Ringo. Gwong Jai is able to see Ringo’s cards off the reflection of Amber’s sunglasses. As the boss of an herbal tea shop, he writes an IOU to add more chips, then goes all in. Ringo follows and they reveal their cards.
Gwong Jai thinks he’s won with his full house Ace but Ringo reveals that he has four-of-a-kind kings.
Gwong Jai is thrown into a room to discuss repayment. He tells Cyrus that he has no money and even if they beat him to death, he can’t pay. Cyrus tells him he only wants him to sign over the patent for his herbal tea. Gwong Jai realizes they’re trying to hustle him and refuses to sign. Cyrus threatens to beat him with a durian. Gwong Jai gets scared shitless and finally agrees to sign it.
The team celebrates a successful job. Turtle thanks them for all their help. And is especially thankful to Yan Yan. If it wasn’t for her awesome computer skills (she switched the image reflected on Amber’s sunglasses) they wouldn’t have been able to fool Gwong Jai.
At work, the employees are gossiping about the supervisor of Cover Girl resigning for taking bribes. Mani comes and tells them they got the sponsorship for the Cover Girl event so they’ll need to look over the details and write up their reports. Ringo, seeing that Mani is so busy, asks for more work on the 797M project but she tells him that him helping her find testers is already a big help.
An unknown person goes to meet with Chin Wing Tong. He gives them a huge sum of money to have them steal all information on Endless Beauty’s latest product research.
Ah Sang tells Cheuk Gwan Lam he’s done what he’s asked of him. He sent out a notice to every employee in the company that there will be a new security system implemented in the next few days. This is a scheme to catch the mole in their company.
The team’s chilling at the warehouse, watching the news report on the closing of the Kwok family herbal tea shops. Amber things its a bit of a waste after all the work they went into to get the recipe back. Turtle thinks it’s better this way. The business wasn’t even his to begin with and he doesn’t really know how to do business. Making the herbal tea recipe go public would fulfill his grandmother’s wish of helping people.
Since this is a wrap up on the herbal tea shop issue, Ringo directs their attention back to Endless Beauty. He tells them his company will be going through a security change. It would allow them 3 minutes to get into the lab and take the information they need. Turtle thinks it’s too little time but Yan Yan thinks it’s possible.
Once Cheuk Gwan Lam has left the office, Ringo gives his team the green light to start. Cyrus and Turtle pose as the cleaning crew and head to the lab while Yan Yan will disable all the doors and cameras for them.
Cheuk Gwan Lam parks nearby. Ah Sang tells him he installed a new sensor in the lab’s lobby. Once someone enters, they’ll be alerted. Soon after he explains it, Cheuk Gwan Lam gets the alert and they head back to the lab.
An unknown person is in the lab, downloading the information. Ah Sang and Cheuk Gwan Lam appears and discover it is a man named Choi Jung. Cheuk Gwan Lam wants to know who instructed him to do this. Choi Jung refuses to spill so they turn him over to the police.
Good thing Ringo realized Cheuk Gwan Lam was setting up a trap, otherwise they would have been caught. He realized it when Cyrus and Turtle were on the move. He noticed the lab’s security guards were acting weird and found Cheuk Gwan Lam’s car parked near the lab and instantly knew something was up.
Ringo calls Chin Wing Tong to come out and meet him. He lectures him on doing things on his own and ruining his plans. Chin Wing Tong doesn’t take this lying down and talks back but Ringo makes sure that he understands not to do anything without his permission from now on.
Rachel can’t believe that Choi Jung was the mole since he’s work with them for so many years already. Cheuk Gwan Lam thinks Chin Wing Tong or Luk Yat Fan might be the ones behind him.
Rachel receives a call and she lets Cheuk Gwan Lam know that the finalists for tests have arrived for the interview.
Each woman is called in one by one to introduce themselves and be interviewed by Ringo, Mani, Cheuk Gwan Lam, and Rachel.
Number 13 called in turns out to be Amber.
I think Turtle and Yan Yan are such an adorable pair!
