After the deaths of his first and second wife, cosmetic mogul Cheuk Gwan Lam tries to turn over a new leaf. As fate would have it, he encounters a resourceful young man known as Ringo Poon, through whom he sees a younger version of himself. Cheuk Gwan Lam develops a familial attachment towards Ringo. The young man also wins the favor of Cheuk’s secretary Rachel Chan, who believes that Ringo would lead the company, Endless Beauty, to success. Rachel, still mourning over the disappearance of her husband Vincent many years ago, drowns herself with work. Endless Beauty, as well as Cheuk Gwan Lam himself, becomes her sole purpose in life. Ringo exploits the trust Rachel has in him, also winning Cheuk Gwan Lam’s approval. Little do they know that Ringo is actually secretly conspiring with a team of talented people on the sly to steal trade secrets from large corporations for money. Ringo has been planning this for years, seeking the best opportunity to take destructive revenge on Endless Beauty.
At home, Mr. Hong tells Rachel about the letter from his father and confesses that he asked Ringo to help him please don’t be mad at him. After putting him to bed, she goes to the living room and read the letter that her husband addressed to her. Rachel cries remembering the time when her and her husband were talking about having another kid so Mr. Hong could have someone to play with.
She wonders when he’ll come back.
On her way to work the next morning, Rachel spots someone that looks like Vincent. She chases after him but it turns out she mistaken someone else as him.
Cheuk Gwan Lam sees Rachel wobbling on her feet and takes her to see the doctor. Laura and Mr. Hong show up after Cheuk Gwan Lam calls them. Then he leaves to go back to work.
Later, Laura rings Ringo’s doorbell and ask if he could watch over Mr. Hong since she has to go deal with a client. Ringo agrees. He goes over and helps feed a half-conscious Rachel some congee. He hears her mumbling in her sleep for her husband not to leave. Ringo tucks her in and leaves.
Ringo goes to check on Mr. Hong and finds the kid slightly upset. He thinks Rachel is sick because he made her mad. Ringo explains that it’s not Mr. Hong’s fault; it’s because Ringo didn’t tell Rachel. Because she’s still mad at him, he makes Mr. Hong promise not to tell her that he came over otherwise she’ll kill him.
Rachel soon returns to work completely recovered. Ringo tries to talk to her but she’s still mad at him and ignores him completely.
Cheuk Gwan Lam is in the car with Ah Sang talking about Mani. He thinks his daughter is lacking EQ and is far from being ready to take over the company. Cheuk Gwan Lam does believe thought that this successful acquisition would place her in a position to be more favorable with the board members.
Chin Wing Tong approaches Lok Yat Fan to collaborate to bring Cheuk Gwan Lam down. At first Lok Yat Fat isn’t interested but Chin Wing Tong tells him his plan and he agrees.
Ringo is at Rachel’s house and makes something to apologize to her. He promises there won’t be a next time and Rachel finally forgives him. He reveals what he made and it’s a piece of toast with a sad face on it. This amuses Mr. Hong greatly.
Amber meets Cyrus at the gym to work out. Cyrus receives a text from Mani asking to meet up. Cyrus ignores it. She texts him again and says something about going for a drive. Cyrus makes an excuse to Amber and goes to meet up Mani.
Under the disguise of doing market research, Mani asks him for his opinion on girls and what kind of girls are his type. From the characteristics he’s describing, Mani thinks he’s talking about him. When he’s done, Mani thanks him by giving him a key chain. At first Cyrus refuses but Mani insists and goes to hang it on his backpack. Cyrus thanks her.
Cyrus returns to the warehouse and finds Amber there. She went to retrieve the key chain to make sure he doesn’t forget it. Amber goes to put it on his backpack but then she sees the key chain Mani put on there. Amber gets upset but Cyrus tells her there’s nothing between him and Mani.
Amber goes to kiss Cyrus and tells him she doesn’t care if there’s something between him and Mani because she has feelings for him. Cyrus is shocked and thinks Amber might be misunderstanding but she’s pretty clear about her feelings. And she’s sure of his too. Otherwise why else would he always go and pick her up from the bar every time she calls.
Cyrus feebly says it’s because she has a video of him. Amber goes to delete the video off her phone. He can’t use the blackmail as an excuse anymore.
Amber gives Cyrus three months to think about his feelings. By three months, she wants an answer.
Mani is smiling to herself at home and this catches Cheuk Gwan Lam’s attention. She spills about liking a guy she’s crushing on (Cyrus) to her father.
Rachel wakes up in the middle of the night to the window open and her family portrait knocked to the floor. She goes to close it and when she turns around and sees her husband sitting on the couch. She’s super happy to see him again.
Mr. Hong wakes up calls to her. Rachel tells him to come over but when she turns back, she realizes Vincent isn’t there.
In the morning, Rachel tells Laura about seeing Vincent. Laura is pretty sure Vincent is dead but Rachel is adamant about him still being alive. Laura thinks she should go see a psychologist.
Ringo runs into Rachel at the market. He takes her to the fish stall to teach her to how to make a fish dish. There, Rachel spots one of the workers wearing a familiar necklace. She immediately thinks it’s her husbands. She approaches the worker and asks where he got it from. He tells her he found it three years ago when he went out fishing.
She asks him to give the necklace her it and gives him money for it. Seeing the necklace completely scattered her mind.
Ringo and Rachel goes to the harbor. There she tells him about all the good times she’s had with Vincent at the beach. Ringo tries to tell her that she needs to learn to let go and move forward but Rachel refuses. She refuses to believe her husband is dead. She’s doing fine and she’ll continue to be fine because she needs to wait for Vincent to come back to her.
Cheuk Gwan Lam arrives at the lab and finds out from David that Rachel urgently called him to have him open Vincent’s office. Then she’s been sitting in there ever since.
Cheuk Gwan Lam asks her what happened and she tells him she found Vincent’s necklace. Rachel starts getting hysterical. She refuses to believe Vincent would abandon her and their son.
Cheuk Gwan Lam understands how she’s feeling. He tells her how he felt when his first wife left him. He was neither here nor there, just felt nothing but guilt and remorse. He eventually realized that he needed to move on – that his wife wanted to see him move on and continue living.
Rachel apologizes for making him think of the bad memories. She finally realizes that she needs to continue living.
Ringo watches a news report about a part of some forest being redeveloped.
Cheuk Gwan Lam sees the same report. He remembers the time capsule they buried. The next day he goes with some tools to the forest looking for where they buried the time capsule
Ringo is doing the same. He goes from tree to tree, digging at the base of the trunk.
Cheuk Gwan Lam sees him and realizes that Ringo is his son.
