As fate would have it, he encounters a resourceful young man known as Ringo Poon, through whom he sees a younger version of himself. Cheuk Gwan Lam develops a familial attachment towards Ringo. The young man also wins the favor of Cheuk’s secretary Rachel Chan, who believes that Ringo would lead the company, Endless Beauty, to success. Rachel, still mourning over the disappearance of her husband Vincent many years ago, drowns herself with work. Endless Beauty, as well as Cheuk Gwan Lam himself, becomes her sole purpose in life. Ringo exploits the trust Rachel has in him, also winning Cheuk Gwan Lam’s approval. Little do they know that Ringo is actually secretly conspiring with a team of talented people on the sly to steal trade secrets from large corporations for money. Ringo has been planning this for years, seeking the best opportunity to take destructive revenge on Endless Beauty.

Rachel wakes up in Ringo’s arms the next morning. She suddenly remembers she forgot to make her son’s lunch and rushes back to her own flat.

Cyrus wakes up with a huge headache. Amber asks why he drank so much and if it has anything to do with Ringo. Cyrus gets mad and refuses to answer. He just tells her that he’ll never go back to the warehouse again. Amber placates him and says if he doesn’t want to go back, she won’t either.

At work, Rachel texts Ringo and asks to eat lunch together. He opens the lunchbox she prepared for him and praises her for how it looks and tastes.

Rachel then starts ranting about how it’s hard being a parent and that she just wants to give the best to her son. In a roundabout way, she’s giving Ringo a way out of having a relationship with her since she has baggage already. But Ringo tells her it’s no problem and he’s willing to go through everything with her.

Ah Sang is updating Cheuk Gwan Lam on the break up of Ringo’s team. Cheuk Gwan Lam wants to know what else Ringo can do now that he’s alone.

Ringo returns to the warehouse and checks out the cellphone. He instinctively calls Yan Yan over but then realizes he’s all alone.

Mani is debating which of the three company to work with and asks her father for his opinion. Mani bounces her ideas off of him and eventually comes to a decision. She announces it at the next board meeting. Her first choice is the Taiwanese company, then Japanese, then the American group TKC. Everyone agrees on her decision.

Chin Wing Tong arranges everything to go to Taiwan to mess up their deal. He successfully gets the deal for his own company and they celebrate with girls. Chin Wing Tong takes one of the girls to his hotel room. She goes to shower first but then the police come knocking on his door, claiming they received a rape report.

Chin Wing Tong calls her his assistant to help him. His assistant says he’ll contact his lawyer while Chin Wing Tong is taken to the police station.

While Chin Wing Tong is impatiently waiting on his lawyer, his assistant he happily meeting the girl who claimed rape. He gives her a check for her work. Then we find out the assistant back stabbed Chin Wing Tong. Ah Sang had approached him and offered him and his girlfriend an apartment in Greece. The assistant has been through hell with no appreciation working for Chin Wing Tong and agrees to whatever Ah Sang wants him to do.

Ringo goes to see his lawyer Ken and asks about the money for Turtle’s brother. Unfortunately, it’s hard to get any loans right now with Ringo unwilling to sell his shares in Endless Beauty. Ken tells him he needs more time.

Mani announces that they’re going with the Japanese company instead since the Taiwanese one doesn’t think they can handle this project. Howard shares his input but is shut down by one of the other board members since he’s not really part of the board. Lok Yat Fan then announces that he’s transferring 5% of the company’s stocks to Howard and will also have him be his representative. The others have no problem with it and welcome him warmly.

Afterwards, Mani thanks Howard. He honestly tells her that he wants them to start over. He hopes that she’ll forgive him completely one day and marry him.

Ringo receives notice from Ken that a private lender is willing to loan him some money. Ringo accepts the conditions. He’s pretty sure Cheuk Gwan Lam is doing all these things to try to hide his intentions to acquire TKC. Ringo is determined to fight him on it.

The market opens and the two of them – Ringo and Cheuk Gwan Lam – start fighting to bid.  The price doubled and Cheuk Gwan Lam is still determined to get it. He tells Ah Sang to liquidate his stock shares.

On the other side, Ringo is buying up all the shares Cheuk Gwan Lam is selling.

At the end of the trading day, Cheuk Gwan Lam managed to buy it at 200%. He is suddenly hit with a massive headache Ah Sang gets the medicine for him to inject.

Ringo is checking out the SD card and comes across a report on the Dr. House report. He’s wondering what the heck Cheuk Gwan Lam did. He messages him and asks the older man to meet him the next day.

Rachel asks Ringo to go with shopping with her for a new mattress for Mr. Hong but he seems to be completely out of it.

When she’s decided on a bed, the sales associate gets her to check out the beds for adults. She and Ringo lay down and test it out. When the sales associate comes back, Ringo goes with her to fill out the details. Rachel finds Ringo’s phone, which he left behind and sees a text message from Cheuk Gwan Lam to meet up.

When she meets up with Ringo again, she gives him his phone and asks if he’s free for dinner. He lies and says he needs to pick up a friend from the airport.

Rachel goes to the cliff which Vincent disappeared. This is the meeting spot with Cheuk Gwan Lam.

Rachel follows and hides behind some rocks.

Ringo reveals about what he found out about the Dr. House product. Cheuk Gwan Lam used some cheaper material to produce the product but it can cause an adverse effect on the consumer. Vincent found out and was totally against this. Ringo is pretty sure that Vincent’s death has something to do with Cheuk Gwan Lam.

Cheuk Gwan Lam denies it.

Ringo continues. He doesn’t know if Cheuk Gwan Lam was just playing the good guy or feeling guilty all these years – that’s why he treated Rachel and her son so nice and pretended to be Martin to talk to Rachel.

Cheuk Gwan Lam can’t take it anymore. Since they’re talking about what’s the truth today, he reveals that he knows Ringo is his son, knows that Ringo is out for revenge. Ringo refuses to acknowledge the other as his father and blames him for abandoning him and his mother and causing his mother’s death. Even if he doesn’t have the evidence right now, he’s bring Cheuk Gwan Lam down eventually.

Rachel hears everything and is shocked.

Cheuk Gwan Lam returns home and finds Rachel waiting for him. She confronts him about Vincent’s death and demands to know the truth. Cheuk Gwan Lam tells her.

Vincent and Cheuk Gwan Lam were really good friends and partners. One day Vincent found out Cheuk Gwan Lam changed the ingredients in one of their products from a natural one to an artificial one to save money. The side effect of using the artificial ingredient causes infertility in women. Cheuk Gwan Lam is willing to stop producing this product and recall it from the shelves but he refuses to announce this wrong. The two get into a heated argument over this.

A few days later Cheuk Gwan Lam goes to find Vincent at his fishing spot. He confronts the other about his press conference later. Vincent is adamant about announcing the side effects to the public but Cheuk Gwan Lam doesn’t want to since it will greatly hurt the company. The two get into a scuffle and Vincent falls over the edge and into the ocean. Cheuk Gwan Lam tried to save his friend but wasn’t able to pull him back up.

He runs and makes an anonymous call to the police from a pay phone.

Cheuk Gwan Lam apologized but Rachel slaps him and gets mad. She screams at him and refuses to listen.

Cheuk Gwan Lam returns to his room and is hit with another massive headache. When the headache subsides, he realizes his vision blurs and then he can’t see anything at all.
