After the deaths of his first and second wife, cosmetic mogul Cheuk Gwan Lam tries to turn over a new leaf. As fate would have it, he encounters a resourceful young man known as Ringo Poon, through whom he sees a younger version of himself. Cheuk Gwan Lam develops a familial attachment towards Ringo. The young man also wins the favor of Cheuk’s secretary Rachel Chan, who believes that Ringo would lead the company, Endless Beauty, to success. Rachel, still mourning over the disappearance of her husband Vincent many years ago, drowns herself with work. Endless Beauty, as well as Cheuk Gwan Lam himself, becomes her sole purpose in life. Ringo exploits the trust Rachel has in him, also winning Cheuk Gwan Lam’s approval. Little do they know that Ringo is actually secretly conspiring with a team of talented people on the sly to steal trade secrets from large corporations for money. Ringo has been planning this for years, seeking the best opportunity to take destructive revenge on Endless Beauty.
Rachel returns home and calls her friend Laura. She tells her that she needs to handle a few things and will be gone for a few days. Laura assumes she’s going on a mini vacation with Ringo and immediately offers to take care of Mr. Hong. After she hangs up, she has a break down.
Ah Sang is working with Cheuk Gwan Lam to count steps so he can pretend his vision isn’t gone. Cheuk Gwan Lam asks him to not tell Mani about his condition.
Mani returns home and asks Cheuk Gwan Lam how his day was. As they’re talking, Cheuk Gwan Lam manages to pick up his cup to drink from it but completely misses the table to put it back down. Ah Sang immediately comes in to help him. Mani notices this oddity. Ah Sang just explains that her father accidentally hurt his hand a few days ago so he’s feeling a off.
Mr. Hong returns home and finds the refrigerator full of food and drinks and the other rooms nice and clean.
Ringo comes ringing the doorbell and asks if Laura has talked to Rachel. Neither of the two can get in touch with her.
Ringo leaves and is wondering where she went. The stairway catches his eyes and he opens the door and finds the gift he gave Mr. Hong for his birthday, along with a cork board full of pictures of the three of them (Mr. Hong, Ringo, and Rachel) next to the trash bags.
He remembers suggesting to Mr. Hong to install a tracking app on his phone so that they can find him if he gets lost. Mr. Hong suggests they install it on his mom’s phone too. Ringo uses this location tracker to find Rachel.
Ringo finds her and tells her how worried he’s been. But Rachel doesn’t buy it. She confronts him about the conversation she overheard with Cheuk Gwan Lam. Ringo tries to convince her that he’s feelings for her are real but she doesn’t believe nor wants to listen to him anymore.
Mani returns home and goes up to her father’s room. She opens the door quietly and sees him knock down his phone. She realizes he can’t see anything as she watches him feel around for the fallen item. She approaches him and waves her hand in front of his eyes. When he doesn’t react, she starts crying and demands to know why he didn’t tell her.
Cheuk Gwan Lam finally tells her about the tumor in his brain. He tries to prepare Mani for his eventual passing but she refuses to accept it.
Cheuk Gwan Lam is in his dream verse again. He sees his first wife. She asks him if he can finally let everything go but he refuses to. He’s so close to teaching his son a lesson. He just needs one more day. She hopes his plans are successful.
The next morning Cheuk Gwan Lam wakes up able to see again. Mani finds him out in the yard having his breakfast. She joins him. She wants to take a few days off from work to spend time with him but he tells her there’s no need. The most important thing is that she secures her chairman position and never give it up to anyone else.
Mani suddenly receives a text message from Rachel. She’s resigning from her position as a secretary. Then she receives a text from Ringo, who’s taking a few days off.
Ringo has all his possessions packed up and loaded into the moving truck. Just before he leaves, he reminiscences all the memories with Rachel and Mr. Hong.
Meanwhile, Rachel is taking Mr. Hong on a short trip to Taiwan.
That night, it’s another bidding war for TKC stocks. Cheuk Gwan Lam looks half dead but he is determined to continue. Soon after the market opens, Ah Sang gets a phone call and steps out to answer it. Cheuk Gwan Lam makes a call to sell more of his company’s stocks but is suddenly hit with a headache. He takes out his medicine pen but falls unconscious before he can use it.
Mani attends a dinner for one of the board member’s birthday. She receives a call from Ah Sang about her father collapsing and immediately rushes to the hospital. Lok Yat Fan notices her rushed departure.
The doctor revives Cheuk Gwan Lam and he’s okay for the time being but his condition is pretty unstable. They’ll have to observe him.
Turtle and Yan Yan are out with her father doing grocery shopping. Yan Yan sees something urgent and shows her phone to Turtle.
Amber is at a cafe with her sister. Her sister is going over her fashion designs. Cyrus is just watching the pair and notes how you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. Before he can elaborate more on it, the two of them receive a text message from Yan Yan to meet up.
The crew meets up under an overpass. Yan Yan tells them that there really is something wrong with the medical group. She also mentions the email about Ringo buying Endless Beauty’s stocks. Looking back, Turtle is realizing that someone is purposely trying to tear their group apart.
Cyrus thinks it’s not them that’s being targeted, it’s Ringo. Cheuk Gwan Lam wanted to cut off Ringo’s arms and legs so that he’d be a sitting duck. What Amber doesn’t understand is why would someone like Cheuk Gwan Lam go through all these trouble for.
Cyrus brings up the incident where Ringo had them switch the DNA report. They figure out that Ringo might be Cheuk Gwan Lam’s son and that he’s come back for revenge.
Chin Wing Tong has his lackys prepare a special tea for Chan Wing Lam after they return from Taiwan. It was thanks to Chan Wing Lam that Chin Wing Tong managed to finally get out of jail.
Chin Wing Tong then gets a phone call from Lok Yat Fan, telling him he’s got something that would interest him.
Ah Sang is watching over Cheuk Gwan Lam but is called out by a nurse to discuss some stuff with his boss’s doctor. Lok Yat Fan and Chin Wing Tong enter the room and prod him a few times to make sure he’s not just faking it. Lok Yat Fan tells the other that it’s real this time and that Cheuk Gwan Lam has a tumor in his brain. The two of them needs to take this chance to take over Endless Beauty.
Mani announces to the other board members that she’s decided on working with TKC. Everyone agrees and Lok Yat Fan suggests Mani should announce this in an interview on TV.
The interview improves their company’s image and shoots up their stocks. Chin Wing Tong and Lok Yat Fan plans to profit off of this.
Howard meets up with Mani to give her lunch. He tells her that his father wants her to cancel this project at the next board meeting. Mani refuses because this is basically lying to the stockholders. Howard continues and tells her that if she doesn’t, his father will remove her from her chairman position.
Mani wants to go talk to the other board members but Howard talks her out of it. He knows his father would have gotten the others in his pockets already. Mani thinks Howard is just helping his father and is very disappointed in him. She walks away from him.
Lok Yat Fan is hiding in the distance, watching the couple.
Mani goes to see Cheuk Gwan Lam in his hospital room. She doesn’t know what to do. Then she remembers what her father told her – that she must hold on to the position no matter what.
Cheuk Gwan Lam is in his dream world again. He’s trying to go through a door but it won’t open. Vincent appears and Cheuk Gwan Lam begs his friend to take him out of there. Vincent thinks his friend hasn’t changed one bit. He still thinks only of his company. Cheuk Gwan Lam thinks his friend is still mad at him. He tells him he did try his best to save Vincent.
Vincent thinks Cheuk Gwan Lam is still harboring guilt over what he’s done. Otherwise he wouldn’t be so nice to his wife.
Vincent advises him that humans don’t know when they’ll be leaving but they have the choice to leave with or without regrets.
The dream ends and Cheuk Gwan Lam wakes up. He tells Ah Sang that he wants to make a phone call.
Cheuk Gwan Lam calls Rachel and apologizes – for Vincent’s death and for lying to her about being Martin. He tells her the time spent talking to her as Martin made him very happy. Then he tells her that his cancer is true. He wishes she and her son will live a happy and blissful life.
His final words were I’m sorry.
